How do I change my email addy and still keep my Y!A account?

I'm getting spam mails at the rate of 30 a day. I check this yahoo email account about once a week only because it is used exclusively for yahoo answers. So everytime I open my Inbox I have to delete over 250 spam mails. It is getting on my nerves. What can I do?

an email address cannot be changed. only the PW and SQ can be. if you get Spam Mails everyday, click all those emails and place them to your Spam Folder. and if you don't use that mail add for contacting friends, you may not open it for 3months and those spam mails will slowly decrease and will deactivate your mail but your account can still be useable on Y/A and other services of yahoo. once your mail is deactivated, just reactivate it and this time, it will OK with no more spam mails, well not unless you will open again incoming emails from spam companies.
Reply:Turn on your Spam filter. Don't stress over it though. At some time or other you gave out that email for something and it got put on a spam list.





Just click Check All and then click on the Spam button at the top.





With the filter on most will be diverted to your trash folder and you can just delete them.





Ok, if you don't use the yahoo mail account for anything important then just stop using it. Stop logging into it. You'll still have the Yahoo ID...
