I gave my email to someone I met in Mexico. Is it easy to get email access down there?

It would be outside of Cancun area in the Mayan Riveria...I just want to make sure he will have a way to email me, or find a way.

Yes, Chelsea, there is e-mail in Mexico. I live in Mexico, my address is via gmail.com and I can access it anywhere in the world. The same for yahoo and any other server. In fact as someone mentioned, there are internet cafes on almost every block in Mexico which charge $1-$2 per hour for Internet connection so ANYONE in Mexico can e-mail you anytime even if they don't have an Internet connection in their home!





In fact a couple of years ago when I was up in Houston, it was MUCH harder to find Internet facilities than here in Mexico where I live.





If you have the Internet address of someone in Mexico and they have yours, you and the other person should have NO problem at all.........
Reply:It all depends how well he is familiar with a computer, and if the place where he lives have access to internet,





The reason i麓m telling you this is because in my case my father has a hotel outside Puerto Vallarta , like 30 miles up north in a little town called Lo De Marcos( 450 hab.) and up to 3 years a go there was no comunication by phone much less internet services, right now they have and almost as soon they started providing the service, an internet cafe open.








So even when this person don麓t have a computer of his own, if there is internet services near by and an internet cafe he will be able to contact you....if he wants.

I'm in M茅xico, I live 50 kilometers to the closest city, and 10 kilometers to the closest phone hard line; but I'm connected here at the farm!





We do have access, but it is not the most of the mexicans yet; however if he asked your e mail, he must have the chance, I guess.

Reply:these days at 90 percent of the town in Mexico have at least one internet cafe. And on the Riveria Maya, that's probably 99 percent. If he hasn't emailed you, he may has lost your address or found another gringa he likes more.
