How can I sign on differently?
I recently had my email account confiscated by someone from Nigeria, how can I keep others out?
Signing on differently will not help, if the account has be 'taken,' then they have probably changed your information and security questions, etc. Your only recourse is to contact service representative and see if they can help you.
If not you will have to open a new account with a new ID name.
