Someone is tapping into my email and sending things to my contacts. What do I do?

Three times now, someone has send commercial promotional info. to all the people in my contacts. I have sent an email to Yahoo early last week and no one answered me. What do I do to stop this from happening?

Reply:Try changing your pass word. I had hackers get me a few times in MySpace, once I changed my pass word it stopped. Also, advise your contacts not to open any links that are sent. On myspace, the hackers sent messages to all of my contacts and if they clicked to open the message, they became hacked and all of there contacts were sent messages.
Reply:The best thing to do is to delete your account and make a new one. Send your new email address to all your contacts and tell them your old account is blocked.


Make sure you have a complicated password that is hard to find out.

Reply:Avoid social networking sites (MySpace, Facebook, etc). Live in the here and now, there is a whole wide world that isn't on the web.





Change your password. Use combinations of Upper and lower case, and symbols such as @ _ #, etc.





Run a good virus/spyware scan.
Reply:well you have a yahoo account ok well i need to know if you have givn your password to anyone or have you left it on your account and do they always hack into it even when you change the pass?
Reply:Run some decent Anti-Virus software on your computer, you probably have one or more Trojan's or Worms in your system.


And yes, change your password... and don't forget to log out after use, especially on public computers.
